There are so many talented musicians in Vancouver and we wanted to highlight as many of them as we can! Lets go into some deep woods and blast some Svneatr.
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
We are what some may call "progressive black metal" and that might be the closest indicator. We try not to label or limit what we do to strict genre boxes.
2: One of your memories of being in the Vancouver music scene?
Every show is a memory I cherish deeply. I think playing the Rickshaw for our first time back in 2017 and having the vegan black metal chef there and a boby painting exhibition was one of the weirder ones.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Too many, wormwitch, gatekeeper, homies in death machine, and ysgaroth. Blackwater burial, heron, empress, and probably some others I'm forgetting.
4: Whats coming up for you?
We have a show on November 15th with Scalding, Wormwitch and Bewitcher at the Wise Hall. That'll be our last show this year. Another one coming up potentially in January. Currently, finishing up the recording/mix for the third album which lll be released through Prosthetic Records which we're pretty stoked on. And then, hopefully, some more touring but who knows!
