Support the Scene is back and ready to introduce you to some of the amazing local talent we have here, and to reacquaint you with some of your favourites. We have such an incredible music scene here in the GVA, and there are so many amazing artists just waiting for you to check them out. So, after an intensely hot and busy summer, some of our talented local artists found time to answer a few of our questions.

Check out what Emmett Jerome had to say!

Q: For those who don’t know you, can you please introduce yourself and describe your sound?

I am a Country/Blues artist from Alberta, based in Vancouver, BC. I'm known for my throwback Americana sound and passionate live performances.

Q: What’s one of the biggest successes you’ve had as a musician?

500,000 total streams across all platforms.

Q: What’s your favourite venue to play?

I love the Fox Cabaret - it's the perfect size to create intimacy and there's not a bad seat in the house. I'm stoked to be doing a headline show there on Oct 4.

Q: What do you think was the best Medium for music to be on? (Vinyl, Tape, CD, Digital)?

I like my vinyl record collection and a cup of coffee for a peaceful easy morning!

Q: Who is your favourite local band to see perform around town?

I love Los Duendes. Special shout-out to Ian Badger, easily one of my favorite musicians in town.

Q: What’s coming up next for your music?

I'll be releasing my debut album on September 18 and will be doing an album release show at the Fox on Oct 4.
