The Best In Vancouver competition is back this year, bigger than ever! We sat down with Raw Nerve Endings to get see how excited they are for the competition.
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
A varied blend of genres, really. Our music’s derived from a mix of pop, indie, alternative rock, metal, funk, blues and electronic, mostly rock-based. We’re grouped under the “alternative rock” genre, but we usually like to play anything and everything.
2: How do you stand out from the other bands in this competition?
Our most unique element is our music itself. We present ourselves as casual as possible on stage, but we never compromise in terms of what we deliver for our audience. Every sound that we make is a representation of our collaborative original ideas that we’ve spent years working on, and we’re proud of what we play!
3: Who is one of your favorite local bands?
So many! Over the past year, we’ve been lucky to witness and perform alongside so many amazingly talented local acts! To name a few: Girlsnails, Nuclear Disco, M01E, Sixth Grade Softball, the Lily Dippers & Transistor Riot are all must-see local acts, each with their own arsenal of trial blazing music!
