Canadian Music Week is coming up and we had a chance to chat with some of the bands! We caught up with Frank Mighty for a picnic and picked his brains about Canadian Music Week! 1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
My sound is like Bon Iver mixed with with City and Colour.
2: What is your favourite part of Canadian Music Week?
Meeting new people, seeing up and coming acts. Great vibe.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Tokyo Police Club - grew up listening to them, I love all their albums. I got the opportunity to write with Dave Monks a few times this past summer which was very cool. Great guy, very talented.
4: Whats coming up for you?
I’m releasing the first single of my second EP on February 15th. The single is called Big Red, I recorded it mostly in Deep Cove, BC. It’s the first of 4 songs coming out this Winter/Spring. I’m also headlining the Drake March 30th, and playing Tall Pines Music Festival in June.
