Canadian Music Week is coming up and we had a chance to chat with some of the bands! We hung out with Growing Fires at an underwater skate park and chatted about Canadian Music Week.
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
Growing Fires sounds like old pop punk with a new flavour of pop punk mixed into one big soup not the kind you bowl for but maybe the kind you bowl for.
2: What is your favourite part of Canadian Music Week?
You get to meet so many different walks of the music industry there. Anywhere from the heads of Sony Records, to Gordon Lightfoot it's a perfect networking event for anyone trying to get their foot in the door, see some talented artists perform make new connections. Even if you aren't performing it is the place to be as an artist.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Our favourite local bands... there's quite a few up-and-coming bands writing some great music.

4: Whats coming up for you?
New music.
We've been writing since the end of 2022 and we're eager to get back into the studio.
We have a couple of singles coming this year that we've been sitting on for some time now. More details on that soon..
