Canadian Music Week is coming up and we had a chance to chat with some of the bands! We used a large collection of mirrors to send light signals to Bokassa to know what they've been up to.
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
Bokassa plays self proclaimed "Stonerpunk", which is kind of punkrock/hardcore/poppunk fused with stoner rock/metal and rock. We take the riffs and groove from stoner rock and metal and mix it with punk rock choruses and hardcore verses. Like you can hear in our songs "Mouthbreathers Inc." or "Hereticules" f.ex
2: What is your favourite part of Canadian Music Week?
We have never been either to CMW or to Candada so for a Norwegian band it's pretty exciting to come to Toronto to play! We are very eager!
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Don't know if they're local per se. But we love Canadian music and Propagandhi, Billy Talent, Cancer Bats, Alexisonfire and Comeback Kid are all some of our favourite bands.
4: Whats coming up for you?
This summer we are hitting a lot of European and Norwegian festivals and hopefully maybe someone in Canada will like what they hear and maybe put us on some shows over there!
