Canadian Music Week is coming up and we had a chance to chat with some of the bands! We used telepathy to chat with Dammit Goldie about what they've been up to! 1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
Evan: Eclectic. We are an amalgamation of a bunch of different genres from grunge to metal.
Josh: Lots of dynamics. A mix of Post-Hardcore/Grunge/Punk Rock.
Cam: A mix of everything heavy.
Tommy: We like to keep it spicy
2: What is your favourite part of Canadian Music Week?
Josh: Playing for a bunch of new faces and getting to talk to other musicians and people that work in the music industry.
Cam: Having the opportunity to meet and hear other amazing Canadian artists.
Evan: The chance to check out all the other acts. Cmw is sort of the pulse of what's going on in music in Canada. So it's fun to see what's happening in the scene.
Tommy: Networking. Meeting new like minded people within the industry and connecting.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
Josh: Captain Wild Child
Evan: junko daydream is a solid band.great live presence. Could see big things coming from them in the future.
Cam: LTtheMonk.
Tommy: If I have to choose one right now it would be Junko Daydream as well. Last week it was Conversation. We meet so many great local bands so my favourite is always changing.
4: Whats coming up for you?
Evan: New single Jan 13th for our song medusa, music video to follow, a tour out east in August? And just gigging. We try to play as much as possible.
Cam: We’ll also be hitting the studio as much as possible in 2023 and beyond.
Tommy: We want to bring Dammit Goldie everywhere.
5: Where can people find you? What are your social media links?
Tommy: We can be found on any streaming platforms, and band camp. Keep up to date with us on our socials and website. And the absolute best way to connect with us is to meet us at a show. We love meeting new friends.
