Loud As Hell is one of Canada's premiere metal festivals. They have an amazing history of the top talent coming through their stage. Each year they highlight some of the world's best metal bands. Dont miss this year's festival on August 4th, 5th and 6th. We listened to classic metal albums and chatted with Eyes Of Perdition about their thoughts on the festival and what they are bringing to the stage this year!
1: Describe your sound for those who haven’t heard you?
We’re a brutal death metal band built on old-school metal and early hardcore. We are “desert baked" in that the intensity of our landscape (Las Vegas, NV) is infused in our sound - stark and oppressive.
2: What separates you from other metal bands?
I suppose what separates us from other bands is that we each have very unique musical backgrounds and viewpoints on life. We are a bit insulated from trends, as the Las Vegas metal scene is pretty small, and we just do what we want.
I personally grew up on early hardcore and underground death metal bands, as well as early iterations of technical death metal, so my style tends to be reminiscent of those years. Largely, I just do what I want and make sounds that reflect how I feel with authenticity.
3: Who is one of your favourite local bands?
While the scene is pretty small here, we have great bands that have come out of the city. The hardcore scene here is pretty tight knit.
4: Whats a memorable tale from one of your shows?
Every show is unique and I really enjoy meeting new people; there’s nothing more validating that pouring yourself into your music and experiencing others’ enjoyment of it. That’s what keeps me going.
